The Vajra-kila Dagger

A Vajra-kila ritual dagger used to mark a lightning strike believed to create a bridge between heaven and earth. This location represents the central phallus location of a giant human figure comprising the sacred grounds of a Vedic temple complex. Here a tall pole, known as the kodi kambam, later became the model for flagpoles. This is also the ancient location for the yupa ascension pole that later became the Christian cross.
