Dymaxion Map by Buckminster Fuller

The projection depicts the earth's continents as "one island," or nearly contiguous land masses, emerging from the sea in a single, expanding bessel wave that originates at the South Pole.

Notice also the number of golden ratios corresponding to the separation of the continents. Since the golden mean is a damping constant within any harmonic standing wave, it tells us the Earth is a resonating sphere that balances on a recursive golden ratio originating at the North Pole.
